Our purpose:

To protect the habitat that supports the Nisqually Tribe’s treaty rights by working with government agencies and private landowners.

  • Joan Miniken, Timber, Fish, and Wildlife Biologist
What we do:
  • Monitor river and stream flows
  • Monitor timber harvests in the watershed
  • Investigate environmental problems and promote protective environmental regulations
  • Work to protect water quality and quantity through watershed planning
  • Work with Nisqually River Council and Nisqually Land Trust to achieve long-term environmental protection
