March 23rd - Nisqually Environmental Plan Community Café
The Planning Department, and Natural Resources are hosting the Nisqually Environmental Plan Community Café to gather Nisqually Community input. We want to identify the most important environmental issues from the Nisqually Community. Community input will be included in the new Environmental Plan which will be completed this year. Nisqually Tribal Community are invited to attend this event.
There will be lunch provided by Masonry Café beginning at 12:00PM. The Nisqually Garden will also be hosting a tea station. A short survey will be available at the sign in table to complete from 12:00PM - 1:00PM. We invite you to stay from 1:00PM - 2:00PM to join focus group tables to discuss questions centered around different environmental topics. Topics may include the Nisqually watershed, resource protection, traditional gathering, waste management, safety, and external environmental impacts.
