Equine-assisted therapy and learning activities incorporates horses into the therapeutic process. People engage in activities such as grooming, feeding, and leading a horse while in engaged with a mental health professional or certified teacher. Equine Therapy and Learning is important to sustain the Nisqually Culture as Horsepeople and is a proven method of wellness and healing for Native American people.
