Nisqually Transit
Nisqually Transit is a transit service of the Nisqually Indian Tribe. For information or to request a ride, call (360) 456-5236 or email transportation@nisqually-nsn.gov.

 

Nisqually Transit offers rides to Tribal and community members along with employees within a 15 minute driving area of the Tribal Admin.


Routes: Shuttle routes are between the Tribal Center (Upper Reservation) and Youth Center (Lower Reservation) areas.  Shuttle service is free of charge and operates weekdays 6:00a.m.- 6:00p.m. with 5:30p.m. as the latest pick up. No service from 11:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. (Driver’s lunchtime).

Services currently provided:

  • Call request service
    FREE rides beyond the fixed route, Monday through Friday, currently as far as Yelm and Hawks Prairie areas.   
    Please call ahead at least 24-hours if possible.
    • 6:00am - 6:00pm 
    • Earliest Pickup is at 6:15am, Latest is at 5:30pm 
  • Transportation of children
    • Children under age 12 require adult supervision.
    • Unaccompanied children ages 13-15 require a completed consent form, available from the drivers and transit office.
    • Children over age 15 should carry an ID in case of questions about age.
    • Parents/guardians should complete a consent form ahead of time if possible, so they can ride if there’s an immediate need.
  • SeaTac Shuttle Service 
    • Available to Nisqually Tribal Members and Tribal employees living in Thurston County
    • Tribal employees approved for personal travel with the understanding that Tribal member preference takes priority
    • Seven (7) days a week, 6:00am - 10:00pm
    • Three (3) weeks notice is required for scheduling purposes
    • A reservation form filled out and a 24 hour confirmation as outlined in the Airport Shuttle Policy
    • All shuttle reservations can be emailed to scott.adrian@nisqually-nsn.gov or dropped off with Adrian in bldg. F, located in the administration compound

  • Notes
    • There is no service when tribal offices are closed – check with the Tribal Center.
    • Policies and procedures are available in the transit office.
    • Nisqually Transit is FREE, but connecting services are fee based.
    • R/T is $1 per ride and Intercity Transit is a small fee. They accept transit passes.

Transit is like a Tribal Uber, without a financial transaction. We offer rides to Tribal members on and off Reservation in a 15 min radius, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Call today for a ride!

R/T Transit

For information call 800-650-7846.  R/T accepts intercity Transit, Twin Transit, Orca, State issued Star passes.

Routes: Intercity Transit runs every 15 minutes during peak travel times along major corriders in Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater.
